First Africans Day set for Saturday at Stratford Hall

Stratford Hall, 483 Great House Road, Stratford, will host First Africans Day from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, July 17. This free event is funded by the Jessie Ball duPont Fund.

The First Africans Day program will commemorate the enslaved Africans and African Americans who built and sustained Stratford Hall and the Lee family for generations, said marketing and communications director Anne Wilson.

This will be a full day of remembering….
