The Red Devils will send five from its boys team to compete in this week’s Group 1A state indoor track meet, including speedster Chris Dameron, who claimed two Region 1A championships last Wednesday at the Arthur Ashe Center in Richmond.
Dameron successfully defended his regional title in the 55 meter in 6.86 and the 300 meter in 41.00. Neither was his best time, said LHS coach Draper Washington.
“The surface was a lot slower than what we’ve been running on and what we’ll run on in Roanoke, so he’ll probably have some faster times,” said Washington…
