Flashing left-on-yellow coming to Kilmarnock

FREDERICKSBURG—Flashing yellow arrows will be installed at several traffic signals in the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula to help drivers turn left safely against oncoming traffic.

According to Kelly Hannon of the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), traffic signal equipment will be fitted with flashing yellow arrows by VDOT and its contractor at the following intersections in late February and March 2018, weather permitting:

• Route 3 and Route 200, Main Street and Irvington Road, as well as Main and Church Streets, Kilmarnock, Sunday, February 25 and Monday, February 26.

• Route 200, Route 688 and Route 1036, Irvington and Harris Roads and James B. Jones Memorial Highway, Kilmarnock, Tuesday, February 27, and Wednesday, February 28…
