‘For the Love of Equine’ exhibit to open

A new exhibit will open Saturday, April 8, at Allure Art Center, 419 Rappahannock Drive, White Stone.

“For the Love of Equine,” will bring together eight artists from across Virginia to showcase their works of equestrian themes, reported owner Jeff Cherry.

Featuring Virginia artists who have their work in private collections worldwide and who have won numerous awards in national and international juried exhibits is one of the core focuses of Allure Art Center, said Cherry.

Several of the artists in this new exhibit are horse owners, breeders and members of the Virginia Equine Artists Association, he said. The show will feature painters, illustrators, a sculptor, photographer, jeweler and woodworker, many of whom will be onsite working and meeting patrons on Saturday.

The show hours will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The show will continue to August 13.

Drinks, coffee and light deserts will be available at the opening Saturday morning.

Heat and weather permitting one of the artists may bring her Peruvian horse to showcase and have the exhibiting artists paint on the grounds, said Cherry. Artists wishing to come out and paint are welcome.
