MCDONOUGH, GA.—Frances Marie Cain “BabeMarie” Starke died Monday, March 6, in McDonough, Ga.
She was born November 11, 1945, in Wicomico Church to the late Frances and Linwood S. Cain Sr.
She was educated in Northumberland schools and served as head teller at Bank of America, formerly known as Maryland National Bank, for over 30 years until she retired in 2005.
Frances was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in McDonough, where she served on many auxiliaries, including the usher board. She married Emmitt Starke on May 27, 1970.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Linwood Jr. and Carley Cain.
She is survived by sons Philip of Hampton, Ga., and Brian of Lexington, Ky.; daughter Erica of Hampton, Ga.; sisters, Barbara Cain of Heathsville and Doris Creek of Capital Heights, Md.; brother Ronny Cain of Newport News; 11 grand children; and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral was held March 11 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
