Reedville—Franklin “Frank” R. Delano, 81, of Reedville departed this life on October 12, 2017.
Frank leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 61 years, Betty Hughes Delano, to cherish his memory; along with his two children, Wayne (Ann) Delano and Donna (Leslie) Clark.
He was proud to be called “PopPop” by his grandchildren, Matthew Delano, Amy (Tony) Delano Ellis and Lauren Clark, and his great-grandchildren, Heather, Dalton and Memphis “Thor.” Frank also leaves behind a brother, Wilson Delano of Reedville; and two sisters, Helen Sampson of Tennessee and Frances Barr of Colonial Heights.
He was retired from Omega-Protein where he worked for 40-plus years in the fishing industry.
In his retirement, Frank enjoyed fishing and gardening and spending time with his family. Frank was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. He will be dearly missed.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 15, at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock. Interment followed the service at Fairfields Baptist Church Cemetery. Family received friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
