KILMARNOCK—Fred Arthur Anderson, 80, of Kilmarnock, the widower of Susan Weisse Anderson, passed away and departed this life July 31, 2021. He was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church and a retired electrician with Philip Morris.
His education included Covington High School and Augusta Military Academy.
Surviving are sons, Gregory W. Anderson of Amelia Courthouse and Michael B. Anderson Sr. of Kilmarnock; daughter-in-law, Linda Lona; two grandchildren, Michael B. Anderson Jr. and Sophia Leanne Anderson.
“Andy” as many knew him, was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and a friend. He enjoyed woodworking as his main hobby. He created many memorable pieces of furniture for his family over the years along with all the interior woodwork that went into creating their home of the past 36 years. He also loved fishing the waters of the Chesapeake Bay that was so dear to him. Fred is and will be truly missed.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 14, at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Kilmarnock.
