The Friends of the Northumberland Public Library will host a Western Casino Night to raise funds for the library and a countywide middle school literacy program, providing a book for every child.
The event will be held at 6 p.m. March 28 at Mallard Bay Clubhouse, 303 Mallard Bay Drive, Heathsville. Tickets can be purchased at the library.
“We support the schools, the library, library projects and help provide access for the aging,” said president Linda Hanson.
Tickets are $100 and will include barbecue, casino games and a raffle for three baskets. Tickets can be purchased at the library, or by calling 580-5051. Guests are urged to wear western wear.
