Gallery open house to honor grandmothers

Artist Alvaro Ibañez will open his studio at 199 Whittaker Lane, Kilmarnock, from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, April 10, for an open reading in honor of grandmothers.

“This is a celebration of my mother’s 90th birthday,” says the artist’s wife, Denise DeVries. “Please join us and read a poem or short essay in honor of your grandmother or mother.”
