LANCASTER—Gloria Dean Courtney Revere O’Daire, 87, of Lancaster passed away on December 23, 2018. She was a longtime member of Corrottoman Baptist Church and a retired dispatcher for the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office.
She is survived by her husband, Alfred W. O’Daire Sr.; two daughters, Celeste R. Cottrell (Michael) of Kents Store and Lynnette R. Linton (John) of Woodstock, Ga.; three granddaughters, Sara C. Headley (Wayne) of Warsaw, Jessica L. Bernens of Chesapeake and Melissa L. Meyer (Kevin) of Canton, Ga.; five great-grandchildren; and her brother, Larry W. Courtney of Norwood, N.C.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Eugene Revere Jr.; her parents, Noless L. and Cora W. Courtney; her grandson, Michael Sean Campbell; and four brothers, Nathan Courtney, Randolph Courtney, Jennings Courtney and Ronald Courtney.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 28, at Corrottoman Baptist Church, Ottoman. Interment followed in Corrottoman Baptist Cemetery. Family received friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
