Friends of the Northumberland County Animal Shelter will hold a Swingin’ For Our Furry Friends golf tournament October 6 at Indian Creek Yacht and Country Club, 362 Club Drive, Kilmarnock.
All proceeds from the charity golf event, including a raffle and silent auction, will benefit the Northumberland County Animal Shelter, according to event organizer Kim Hunter.
Registration is $100 per person or $400 per foursome and includes a round of golf, with cart, range balls, gift bags, individual and team prizes, and a buffet dinner.
Scramble format competition will begin at noon with a shotgun start. The tournament will be held rain or shine with no cancellations or refunds.
Tournament sponsorships are still available. Gold sponsorships include an entry fee for a foursome, as well as a custom tee box sign, name on the event banner and mention in the program. Hole sponsorships are available for $100 and include a tee box sign which may be personalized in honor or memory of a special pet.
