Grab a leash and go to the Dog Gone Dog Show

Layla wants a ribbon for “best tail wagger” and hopes the judges can see her tail.

The Animal Welfare League of the Northern Neck (AWL) recently announced plans for the Dog Gone Dog Show.

“This event is all about fun, fur and four-legged friends. We hope the public will join us at Irvington Town Commons on October 9 for our 19th annual Dog Gone Dog Show,” said president Sara Ford.  

“We have so many events slated for the show which runs from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. There is literally something for every dog and everyone. The dog show itself has 14 categories your pooch can enter. Plus there are activities to keep the kids entertained too. We’ll have face (or mask) painting, crafts and more,” said Ford.
