Grant provides free Lifelong Learning classes to Richmond County residents

The Rappahannock Community College (RCC) Educational Foundation recently received a $6,000 grant from Richmond County to support free Rappahannock Institute for Lifelong Learning (RILL) classes for county residents. The Richmond County Local and Regional Non-Profits COVID-19 Relief Program Grant comes from the CARES Act and the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).

“The purpose of the grant is to provide essential funding during the economic crisis that resulted from the COVID-19 global pandemic. Grants will be awarded by the board of supervisors and open to non-profits in and benefitting Richmond County,” according to the grant application.

RILL, a program of the RCC Educational Foundation, provides educational opportunities and enrichment for adults of any age. Serving primarily senior citizens, the non-credit program provides a stimulating….
