LANCASTER—Guy O. “Billy” Franklin Jr., 78, of Lancaster passed away June 9, 2020. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post #86, Kilmarnock.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Judy B. Franklin; son, Jason C. Franklin; grandchildren, Joshua C. Franklin, James C. Franklin and June L. Franklin; three brothers, John E. Franklin, Harold B. Franklin and Dandridge L. Franklin; aunt, Helen Mitchell; and an uncle, Sonny Hearold.
He was a construction worker with J & J, Inc. and loved to farm. He was a hard worker all of his life.
Billy was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed.
A memorial service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 14, at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock. Family received friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
