Historic Christ Church & Museum, 420 Christ Church Road, Weems, will hold its annual Hands-On History Day from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. July 19. Children ages 6-12 are invited to explore the history of Christ Church and colonial Virginia through a variety of exciting hands-on activities.
Participants will have the opportunity to make a brick by hand, write with a quill pen and make a grave rubbing inside the 1735 church. They will also dig for artifacts, play colonial games and make a silhouette portrait, reported executive director Robert Teagle.
