Hardy Community Park dedicated at Northumberland Public Library

Hardy Community Park behind the Northumberland Public Library, 7204 Northumberland Highway, Heathsville, was officially dedicated on May 9. The park reflects the library’s ongoing commitment to providing community spaces and services for residents of all ages.

The park is named in honor of Rives and Betsy Hardy, longtime residents of the Mundy Point area in Callao, reported Barbara Brecher. R. Hardy has been a strong supporter of the Northumberland Public Library and its bookstore, Ye Olde Book Shoppe. Through his advocacy and community involvement, he has helped promote the library and its mission.

As visitors enter the park, they are greeted by two large pairs of decorated watermen’s boots….
