Harpers Creek waterfront facility opens

PALMER—Members of the Lancaster County board of supervisors, staff and community gathered Saturday, April 18, to celebrate the grand opening of Harpers Creek Park & Working Waterfront Complex at 459 Harpers Creek Drive near Palmer. It’s a public/private partnership between the county and Stay The Course LLC owned by Nathan and Kara Everett.

This comes about five months after the county opened a revitalized Westland Beach in November. A ground breaking for the next project, Taylor Creek Park, is scheduled for April 27 with work to be completed in October.

Everett said he purchased the land three years ago as Stay the Course LLC. “Plans were simply to continue operating Still Kickin’ Seafood on the property while acquiring the zoning change and the many permits needed from DEQ, VMRC and the county,” he said. “The working waterfront seafood business checked all the boxes for the public access portion of….
