Lancaster picked up a pair of Northern Neck District wins in varsity softball last week, including a one-run win over higher-ranked Essex.
“We played our best game of the year,” said LHS coach Bruce Northern. “It was a really big win for us. We are coming down the home stretch and these last few games will determine our seed placement.”
The Saunders sisters, Ayla and Olivia, had a triple each to help lead Lancaster to its 3-2 win over the Trojans Tuesday, May 3. A. Saunders also hit a single.
