MOLLUSK—Helen Louise Howard Doggett was born to the late Edna T. and Frank Howard in Mollusk on September 15, 1915.
She was educated in the public schools of Lancaster County. She joined Queen Esther Baptist Church at an early age. Helen was a faithful member of the Missionary Ministry where she held the office of secretary.
She especially loved cooking for her family. She enjoyed activities of painting, crocheting and doing crossword puzzles. Helen supported her sons in all of their business endeavors. She always had time to listen and never judged or criticized.
On October 10, 1935, she was united in holy matrimony to the late Warner Franklin Doggett Sr. and to this union, fives sons were born.
On Wednesday, February 21, 2018, God called her home meeting those loved ones that traveled before her including her parents, her husband and her sons, Morris Clifton Doggett, Howard Wilson Doggett, Warner Franklin Doggett Jr. and Clarence Louis Doggett.
Helen leaves to cherish her memory a son, Charles Bernard Doggett (Rosa); a daughter-in-law, Marjorie Doggett; grandchildren, Sharon Doggett, Marvin Doggett (Annette), Jennifer Doggett, Karen Tatem (Derrick), Clintwood Doggett (Chanta), Colette Doggett, Douglas Dogget (Elaine), Terrance Veney and Morticia McCoy; three brothers, James, Samuel and Joseph Howard of Mollusk; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Service and interment were held at Queen Esther Baptist Church, Saturday, February 24.
