The spring schedule of Heritage Arts classes at Rice’s Hotel/Hughlett’s Tavern, 73 Monument Place, Heathsville, will include blacksmithing, painting, dying yarn with Kool-Aid, spinning yarn with a drop spindle and beginning woodturning.
Learn how to use oils to paint a wading heron in a two-day workshop from 12:30-5 p.m. May 6 and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. May 7. The course is appropriate for adults of any skill level, said Rice’s Hotel/Hughlett’s Tavern executive director Corinne Becker. The fee is $35, plus an additional $30 material fee payable to the instructor.
