
Ampersand will present “Music in the New Nation: Popular Songs & Tunes during America’s Founding Years,” from 7-8:30 p.m. July 3 at Lebanon Baptist Church, 20 Alfonso Road, Lancaster.
The Ampersand trio performs American folk and historical music with soaring vocal harmonies and traditional string instruments such as guitar, banjo, mandolin, cello and hammered dulcimer, said Lancaster Virginia Historical Society (LVHS) executive director Karen Hart.
Admission is $10 at the door. Families are welcome, children under 14 will be admitted free with an adult.
