High school graduation season arrives

KILMARNOCK—High school graduation season has arrived.

Lancaster High School will celebrate the 69 graduating seniors of the Class of 2026 at a commencement ceremony beginning at 7 p.m. Friday, May 15, in the gymnasium at Lancaster High School, 8815 Mary Ball Road, Lancaster.

In addition to hearing remarks from class president Keryona Smith, Francine Hunter, Class of 1980, will address the graduates and their families at this ticketed event.

Northumberland High School will graduate 97 seniors beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 16, on the football field at Northumberland High School, 201 Academic Lane, Claraville.

Student Council president Layla Cordova, senior class president Amiya Lee and Indian of the Year Isaac Faulkner will address the class of 2026. Acting principal Javornda Ashton also will speak and school board chairman Dave Curran will confer the diplomas.

The valedictorian and salutatorian have not yet been named as of the publication deadline at noon May 12.

Christchurch School will hold its 105th commencement ceremony at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 23, on the Main Lawn and Bell Tower Hill at Christchurch School, 49 Seahorse Lane, Christchurch.

Head of school William J. “Billy” Coyle will speak. He is completing his fourth year as head, the 17th head in the school’s history.

The valedictorian is Lillian Grace Williams, the daughter of Adam and Heidi Williams of North. She will attend the University of Virginia.
