Aging in place allows folks or their loved ones to slow down and live out the latter parts of life with both independence and dignity. A new local business aims to provide area seniors the reliability, comfortability and resources needed to make aging in place a feasible reality.

Thomas Wilson and Fredrick Johnson began their business, Home Access Solutions, with accessibility and mobility in mind.
Wilson, a 2019 Lancaster graduate, knew upon graduating from James Madison University in 2022 that he’d want to start his own business, particularly one that would help people.
Johnson, a longtime area resident, said he had come up with the concept for an aging in place solution during COVID.
For most people, their home is their biggest asset and it’s something people are proud of and are comfortable in. It’s where people want to spend their final years, he said.
Together, Johnson and Wilson developed Home Access Solutions and have had the business in full swing since September.
According to Wilson, they’ve primarily been focusing on installing ramps for those who have some mobility issues.
