Mother nature is forcing the Hometown Heroes Preview Party indoors.
The party, initially scheduled at Town Centre Park, will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department firehouse, 71 School Street, Kilmarnock.
Plenty of parking spaces can be found next door at the Chesapeake Bank Operations Center, the Augusta Street parking lot, along West Church Street or at the Lancaster Middle School parking lot, reported deputy town manager Susan Cockrell.
Following a brief ceremony, America’s Sweethearts New York City will perform. The program is sponsored by Virginia Commonwealth Bank.
