LANCASTER—Some three-and-a-half years after the body of Graham McCormick was found in Carter Creek, a trial date has been set for the man accused of multiple felonies in relation to his death.
John Randolph “Rand” Hooper pleaded not guilty to all three charges, including felony homicide, before Judge Charles Poston in Lancaster County Circuit Court on Friday, January 29. During the status hearing, four dates were set, including three for motion hearings and one for a jury trial.
On December 2, 2020, a multi-jurisdictional grand jury issued indictments for felony homicide, involuntary manslaughter while operating a watercraft under the influence, and failure to render aid.
