IRVINGTON—Hubert Greford Lovell, 86, of Irvington passed away peacefully on July 24, 2024, at Rappahannock Westminster-Canterbury. He was born on February 12, 1938, to Hubert and Hazel Lovell in Landgraff, West Virginia.
Hugh was predeceased by his brothers and sisters. He was also predeceased by his wife, Barbara Lovell. They were married on February 27, 1960, in Powhatan, West Virginia.
Hugh’s long-term career was with the U. S. Department of Agriculture in Washington, D.C. Hugh and Barbara enjoyed traveling in retirement.
Hugh is survived by several nephews.
A mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 7, at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Kilmarnock. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Virginia Home, 1101 Hampton Street, Richmond, VA 23220.
