
WILLIAMSBURG—On June 14, 2022, Hugh “Bud” Mauldin Jr. passed from this life to the next. He was born December 30,1938.
Bud left a positive imprint on all he encountered, typically with a smile.
Bud retired after 35 years of federal government service, including service as a surface warfare officer in the Navy with a tour in Vietnam. He volunteered for over 30 years with the Boy Scouts; was active in the DAV, American Legion and Knights of Columbus; and attempted to hunt, fish and competitively shoot.
Bud is survived by his bride of 53 years, Ann; three children, Charles, James and Clara and her husband, Rob Podrasky; three grandchildren, Tyler, Payton and Ben; and his sister, Mary and her husband, Wayne Feamster.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Sister Mary Hugh Mauldin; and his parents, Dr. and Mrs. Hugh Mauldin Sr.
Funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, June 22, at St. Bede Catholic Church with interment following at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Norfolk.
