Ida C. S. Ashburn

KILMARNOCK—Ida Catherine Sebra Ashburn, 81, of Kilmarnock died March 31, 2017. She was a retired dental assistant.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Carroll Lee Ashburn; a daughter, Gayle Stoneman (Jeff); grandchildren, Weston Stoneman and Wyatt Stoneman; sisters, Peggy Gill, Delma Rose and Thelma Rowe; brother Franklin Sebra; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was an avid duck pin bowler and was one of the top bowlers on the Norris Super Market team for many years.

She also loved flowers and has nearly 100 azaleas in her yard.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Cora Sebra; brothers, James Sebra, Robert Sebra, John Sebra and Elton Sebra; and sisters, Marie Courtney, Emma Beane and Alice Oliver.

She was born at Rehoboth Church and attended both Reedville and Lively high schools.

Visitation was Tuesday, April 4, at Currie Funeral Home and a graveside service, conducted by Rev. John Farmer, was held at Woodlawn Cemetery, Wednesday, April 5. A reception followed at the Haydon Building on Irvington Road, Kilmarnock.
