Illuminate Irvington to offer a variety of holiday activities

Santa will visit here at 4:30 p.m. and the tree-lighting ceremony is set for 5 p.m.

The Town of Irvington will welcome the Christmas season early with Illuminate Irvington, a holiday celebration featuring a tree lighting, caroling, a visit by Santa Claus, children’s activities, shopping, a gift raffle and a decorated golf cart parade from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday, December 1.

Illuminate Irvington is sponsored by the Irvington Virginia Business Association (IVBA) and the town of Irvington.

“The IVBA is excited to join with the town in hosting this special evening of holiday fun,” said IVBA chair Samantha Van Saun.

The event begins at 4:30 p.m. with a visit from Santa Claus by Irvington United Methodist Church, 26 King Carter Drive, Irvington. Cookies courtesy of Out of the Oven Bakery and activities for children will be available….
