WILLIAMSBURG—Ima Jean “Gigi” Oklesson, 85, of Williamsburg, and former resident of Reedville, died July 31, 2017, at Regency Health Care Center, Grafton.
She is survived by her sons, Edward Oklesson Jr. and Daniel Oklesson; daughter-in-law, Marybeth Oklesson; grandson, Stephen Oklesson (Sarah Courtney); granddaughters, Katie Oklesson, Lauren Oklesson and Kelley Oklesson; and great-grandchild, Jordan Wilmer.
Born August 25, 1931, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of Aubrey James Farrell and Annie Estelle Farrell.
Gigi attended Eastern High School and after graduating in 1949 she married the love of her life, Edward R. “Ed” Oklesson Sr., who passed away May 10, 2016.
Gigi was devoted to Ed and her family. Her passions included arts and crafts, collecting glass and antiques, enjoying contemporary music and trying new recipes.
She will be deeply missed by family and friends and will always be remembered as a dedicated wife and creative inspiration to all her family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 3, at Roseland Cemetery, Reedville.
