An open house will be held September 9 by the Interfaith Service Council to celebrate 35 years of community service.
The public is invited to the celebration from 10 a.m. to noon at the Interfaith Warehouse, 1086 Harris Road, Kilmarnock. Light refreshments will be served.
Come meet the all volunteer staff and see how household donations are displayed and distributed by the warehouse, said vice president/publicity Junell Haskins.
Learn about the Concerned Citizens Committee that has arranged for the building of hundreds of wheelchair ramps and house repairs over the past 35 years with financial support from the community, said Haskins.
“Come talk to us, we have many volunteer opportunities,” she said.
