REEDVILLE—Irene Seigler, 75, of Reedville passed away December 25, 2021.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Gil Seigler; children, Stephanie Rompot (Kurt) and Wes Seigler (Liz); three grandsons, Alexander Crist, Andrew Rompot and Danny Rompot; granddaughter, Maggie Woxland (Connor); and her beloved dog, Corky.
Irene started her career as a registered nurse in Roanoke. She also founded and served as the president of the American Academic and Cultural Exchange program, a non-profit foreign exchange student placement service. She was dedicated to God, her family and loved all children.
Family received friends at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 30, at Bayshore Baptist Church, Heathsville. The funeral followed at 2 p.m., and interment follow the service at Roseland Cemetery, Reedville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bayshore Baptist Church, 7022 Jessie duPont Memorial Highway, Heathsville, VA 22473.
Currie Funeral Home LLC of Kilmarnock handled the arrangements.
