Irvington Baptist holds women’s day

The Irvington Baptist In-Touch Sisters (IBITS) mission group recently hosted women’s day. The ladies conducted the March 31 worship service and welcomed guest speaker Debby Morris.

Morris has served on the Angel Ministry Prayer Team for Anne Graham Lotz, helps train pre-school teachers and has her own decorating/consulting business, reported Hazel Farmer. She is the author of Celebrate the Seasons, Seasoning Your Child’s Life with God’s Word and A Joyful Journey Through Advent.

Morris and her husband, Tom, live in Savannah, Ga.

The IBITS extend a special thanks to Morris and to musicians James S. Andrews and David Graham. “It was a day,” reports program Chair Denise Robertson, “of overflowing blessings.”

The IBITS met for the first time in September 1995 and have been meeting the first Tuesday of every month for almost 24 years, said Farmer. They provide support to their church as well as mission support to their communities throughout the Northern Neck. They also support state, national and worldwide mission programs.
