Irvington council considers traffic control, storage space, staff IDs

IRVINGTON—Anticipating an increase in traffic as tourist season approaches, the Town of Irvington is beefing up its off-duty police presence.

During a brief council session on Thursday, March 12, Mayor Julie Harris shared that the off-duty officers have been working 60 hours each month. Beginning in April and throughout the summer, they will work 80 hours a month to compensate for….
