IRVINGTON—The Irvington Town Council on October 12 appointed two new members. Residents Bonnie Schaschek and Mary Cary Bradley were appointed to fill the unexpired terms of Gabe del Rio and Jackie Brown.
Both Brown and del Rio resigned due to relocation. According to town attorney Andrew McRoberts, both seats will be up for a special election in November 2024.
Councilman Wayne Nunnally moved to appoint Bradley to fill del Rio’s seat and for Schaschek to fill Brown’s. Phil Robinson, Dudley Patteson and Judy Penniman, who was present via phone, also voted in favor of the motion, which passed, 4-0.
