With the growing season finally here after an interminably long winter, the Irvington Farmers Market will get under way from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 5 at the Irvington Commons, 98 King Carter Drive.
“Area farmers will be selling beef, eggs, lamb and vegetables from the Northern Neck landscape, think local all the way, ” said market coordinator Anne Mattheisen.
Early spring produce, garden plants, honey, cheeses, jams, jellies, breads and baked goods will also be offered, said Mattheisen.
