IRVINGTON—Four government consulting firms have submitted proposals to the Irvington Planning Commission to conduct a survey and update the comprehensive plan.
During the commission’s September 7 meeting, chairman Julie Harris reported that Berkley Group, ReThink Main Street, EPR-PC and BFJ Planning all submitted proposals.
Commission member Tom Chapman said the proposal from Berkley Group is well written and that they are qualified for the project. Chapman also said the proposed comprehensive plan and zoning updates are substantially greater in scope, cost and timeline than what the town had anticipated.
According to the proposal, Berkley Group would charge the town $11,285 for the survey, $99,545 for work on the comprehensive plan, and $71,305 for work on zoning codes.
