
Farmers markets, a Halloween costume contest, a 5-mile race and a car trunk sale are among upcoming events planned and sponsored by the Irvington Village Improvement Association (VIA).
“Anyone interested in volunteering can join in the fun and camaraderie and attend Irvington VIA meetings,” said president Deb Lockhart.
Meetings are held at 5 p.m. on third Tuesdays April-December at the Trick Dog Bistro, 4357 Irvington Road, Irvington.
“It’s a great way to socialize and stay current on everything that is happening in lively little Irvington,” said Lockhart.
The October 6 Irvington Farmers Market falls on the Columbus Day weekend and is again brimming with goods of all kinds, including fall produce, a variety of artisans’ creations, breakfast and lunch foods, and entertainment.
