It’s beginning to sound a lot like Christmas at Virginia’s Li’l Ole Opry

Virginia’s Li’l Ole Opry on Saturday, December 7, will present its annual Smith Family and Friends Christmas Show at the Harry M. Ward Auditorium, Mathews High School, 9889 Buckley Hall Road, Mathews. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the show will start at 7:30 p.m.

Join the Smith Family and musical friends for a wonderful start to the holiday season, said president Lynda Smith. The house band, Shades of Country, along with all of the Opry singers will play country and traditional Christmas selections.

The program will include country songs like “Christmas in Dixie” and “Santa Claus is Back in Town;” traditional secular songs like “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas,” “Blue Christmas” and “Run Run Rudolph;” and religious songs like “O Holy Night,” “Go Tell It on the Mountain” and “Noel,” sung by the amazing Tracy Hill, said Smith.
