The Hunton-Lunsford History Center within Morattico Baptist Church, 924 Morattico Church Road, Kilmarnock, has launched a new exhibit.
The exhibit features the life of longtime Morattico supporter and Northumberland County native, Jessie Ball duPont.
Known as the Mother of Baptist Churches in the Northern Neck, Morattico Baptist should be on the list of historic site visits, said church history committee chairman Kathy Pittman.
The community is invited to tour and learn about the many people in the community who served the church, pick up take-home sheets of information and see artifacts that have been collected over the years. Tours can be scheduled by calling 577-3043.
