KILMARNOCK—John Eric Cornwell, 60, of Kilmarnock died August 3, 2025.
He was born on October 8, 1964, the youngest son of the late Wilbert Morris and Gloria Bonham Cornwell of Kilmarnock.
Mr. Cornwell was a 1983 graduate of York Academy and later became the owner and operator of Jeric Foods of Weems as well as the founding owner of River Glass in Kilmarnock. He was a member of the Virginia Seafood Council and the Lancaster County Lion’s Club.
Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Elizabeth W. Bromley Cornwell; a son, Eric Christianson “Chris” Cornwell and his wife, Chelsea, of Weems and two grandchildren, Carmen Fay Cornwell and Camden Kirke Cornwell.
He is also survived by his brother, David M. Cornwell and his wife, Patricia, of Kilmarnock.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 7, at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock. Interment will be in the Lebanon Baptist Church cemetery in Alfonso. The family received friends from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. Wednesday, August 6, at Currie Funeral Home.
