URBANNA—Joseph T. Newton of Urbanna died August 30, 2021.
He was born October 5, 1947, to the late Anna Gaskins Newton and the late Frederick William Newton in Lottsburg.
Joe was educated in Northumberland County. He was baptized at Zion Lottsburg and later joined Galilee Church. We was a waterman and construction worker.
Joe was predeceased by his father; mother; stepfather, Kilmer K. Harcum; and brothers, Thomas W. Newton and Frederick C. Newton.
He is survived by his sisters, Viola “Poosie” Brown of Richmond, Ann Christine Newton of Richmond, Mamie Jean Carter of Burgess and Dora Nutt of Heathsville.
A service was held at noon Saturday, September 11, at Campbell Funeral Home, Kilmarnock.
