Lancaster High School claimed two wins over Northumberland in three days last week in junior varsity girls basketball.
The JV Lady Devils got by the JV Lady Indians 22-18 on January 25 and then edged them again, 23-20, on January 27.
It was a tale of two teams in both halves on Saturday with the Indians dominating in the first and Lancaster taking control for the win in the second.
Host Northumberland held a 10-point lead at the half after holding Lancaster to four points, all in the first quarter on two field goals by Karmyn Davis. The Devils went scoreless in the second quarter then rallied out of the locker room for a 19-6 second half. LHS still trailed by eight, 19-11 after three then kept NHS scoreless from the floor for a 12-1 run in the fourth. The Indians’ only score in the final….
