TAMPA, FL—Katherine Ann Anthony, 71, of Tampa, Florida, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at her residence in Lake City, Florida.
Katherine was born in Norfolk on August 7, 1952, to the late William Lloyd Ticer and Jean Miller Ticer. Katherine was raised in Virginia, where she spent the majority of her life. After high school, she started her career in the medical profession. She worked for many years as the executive secretary at the Medical College of Virginia before entering the private sector as an ophthalmic assistant and practice manager.
In 1988, she and her family relocated to Florida to establish a medical practice which she managed until her retirement in 1995. After her retirement, Katherine and her husband, Ervin, delighted in splitting their time between their Virginia and Florida residences. In Katherine’s spare time, she enjoyed traveling with her husband, listening to music, collecting nutcrackers, sewing and raising her miniature Dachshund pups.
She was so very loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, William Lloyd Ticer and Jean Miller Ticer; and brother, William Edwards Ticer.
Katherine is survived by her loving husband, Dr. Ervin E. Anthony; her two beloved miniature Dachshunds, Mr. Paisley and Miss Dottie; and many extended family members and friends.
