PARRISH, FL—Kevin David Morse, 58, of Parrish, Florida, a devoted patriot and most loving husband, passed away on August 30, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of honor, service and compassion. He was a man whose life was defined by duty to his country, his colleagues, but most of all, his family.

Kevin proudly served in the United States Army as both a noncommissioned officer and officer, embracing roles as an infantryman, watercraft operator and skilled parachutist. His deployments to Somalia and Afghanistan were marked by courage and commitment, earning him the Bronze Star, multiple Army Achievement Medals, Good Conduct Medals and numerous other commendations. His military career was a testament to his integrity, valor and unwavering devotion to his fellow soldiers and the mission.

After serving in the military, Kevin pursued on with his career. His most recent position was the senior subject matter expert at Pingwind Inc., where he specialized in strategy and operations, contracts and program management, IT, engineering, logistics and leadership. His work spanned defense, federal and state agencies, and he was deeply respected for his expertise, mentorship and tireless work ethic.

Outside of his professional life, Kevin found joy in many simple pleasures such as fishing, traveling and gaming. But above all, he cherished time with his family and took immense pride in being a grandfather.

Kevin is preceded in death by his father, Garry Wayne Morse (1943 –2011); and his father-in-law, Gerhard Alvin Nundahl (1933 – 2012).

Kevin is survived by his beloved wife, Kathryn Erin Morse; his daughter, Heather Rae Howard and son-in-law, Kenneth Charles Howard, and grandson, Walter Charles Howard. He is also remembered by his mother, Sherilyn Rae Black; brother, Jason Wayne Morse and his wife, Sherry Mae Morse; and mother-in-law, Dolores Brando Nundahl. He is further survived by his sisters-in-law, Cheryl Marie Peleg and her spouse, Amit (parents of Ashley, Shannon, Liam), Karen Christine Hebert (parent of Lauren/Zachary and Katie), Victoria Ann Ferro (parent of Kristen/Thomas/Henryk and Austin) and her husband, Stephen, Tonia Elizabeth Dornfest (parent of Nicholas and Joseph) and her husband, Michael; brothers-in-law: Micheal Edward Nundahl, Gary Allen Nundahl and his wife, Anna (parents of Hannah), Gregory Nicholas Nundahl, significant other, Kristy Pittman (parents of Logan and Dylan), Edward Joseph Nundahl and Brian Steven Nundahl.

Kevin will be missed by so many wonderful family and friends. His life was a beacon of strength and generosity. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Most especially, he was Kathryn’s best friend, and their friendship will always remain a true test of love and friendship throughout time.

A visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, September 5, at Currie Funeral Home, 116 East Church Street, Kilmarnock. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 6, at Grace Episcopal Church, 303 South Main Street, Kilmarnock, with interment in the church cemetery following the service.
