Kilmarnock addressing the kinks at Town Centre Park

by Madison White Franks

KILMARNOCK—The Kilmarnock Town Council met briefly July 17 and discussed the success of the Kilmarnock Town Centre Park, as well as some minor problems that need fixing.

The new park at 150 North Main Street in Kilmarnock officially opened to the public July 8.

Council member Emerson Gravatt asked about a plumbing issue involving the Splash Pad.

Town manager Tom Saunders indicated there was a water pressure problem at the splash pad and the restrooms. There was a leak at the splash pad and it was fixed Monday. The water amusement should be operational again by today, July 20.
