Kilmarnock business producing protective gear for health care workers

KILMARNOCK—Across the country, large companies from automotive to alcohol industries are repurposing their manufacturing to fill medical supply shortages caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Close to home, a small Northern Neck company is doing its part to supply local health care systems in need of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Doug Bishoff and his wife, Lindsay, at Turn Dynamics LLC in Kilmarnock are producing face shields and ear guards at their shop, 101 FMC Drive, Kilmarnock. Lindsay and the Bishoff’s children, Cayden and Kelsey, were delivering a shipment of 266 shields this week to The Orchard in Warsaw, where a recent coronavirus outbreak was reported. The Orchard is a Riverside Healthy Living Community.
