The Kilmarnock Museum, 76 North Main Street, Kilmarnock, will open for the 2022 season Thursday, March 17, on the 70th anniversary of the Great Fire of 1952.
Among its many displays, the museum offers a comprehensive collection of memorabilia from the 1952 fire which destroyed much of downtown Kilmarnock’s North Main Street, reported president Carroll Lee Ashburn.
Although small, the museum features many items which will amaze and educate as well, said Ashburn. For example, everyone knows about email, but how many people know about v-mail?
