Kilmarnock Planning Commission recommends town council approve rezoning for proposed apartments

KILMARNOCK—A new apartment complex on Kilmarnock’s Main Street is in the works after the planning commission unanimously voted in favor of recommending to council the approval of a rezoning application submitted by Nelson Creek LLC.

Justin Nelson, a representative of Nelson Creek LLC, spoke to the commission Monday, December 13, regarding his application for 238, 246, and 256 North Main Street. These properties are across from the post office. He is seeking to rezone the property from general commercial designation to medium density residential.
