Lady Devils, 10-6, add wins against Essex and Northumberland

Lancaster got scoring from nine players and had three combine to outscore Northumberland last Tuesday in a 54-35 rout in varsity girls basketball.

Jasmyn Tomlin opened with nine points in a 15-7 Lancaster run in the first quarter and finished with 15 points to lead the Lady Devils.

Lancaster doubled Essex High’s scoring in the third quarter last Thursday to overcome a four-point deficit at the half and take the lead for good in a 48-43 win over the Lady Trojans.

Sawyer led the Devils charge by spreading out 11 points. Carli Henderson chipped in nine points and Skyler Henderson eight.

For Essex, Laniya Green scored five points and Shereece Ball four in the second quarter when the Lady Trojans outscored Lancaster, 14-11, to take a 25-21 lead at the break…
